Keyboard Control

The unit is motorized with keyboard controls for the table, chair, phoropter, lamp, and other optometry equipment. With a simple touch, you can turn the examination equipment and lighting on and off, as well as control and adjust the positions of the table, chair, and phoropter. This simplifies the examination process and provides the patient with a sophisticated and modern experience. In addition to the keyboard panel, a foot pedal is also included to control the unit’s positions.

Table Safety Lock

La table of the Milano Refraction Unit is equipped with a safety lock to protect the patient; when the lower part of the table touches the patient’s legs, it stops descending, preventing possible crush injuries.

ADA Compliant Chair

The Milano Refraction Unit allows the patient to sit comfortably in the motorized chair while the operator brings the instrumentation closer using the control panel. The operator can use a safety lever located under the chair to rotate it, facilitating patient entry and exit. Once seated, the chair can slide forward to bring the patient closer to the integrated phoropter or other instrumentation, or recline up to 180°. The Milano chair can also be easily removed if the patient is in a wheelchair, making it an industry leader in accessibility. It is ADA compliant, offering an excellent experience for both patients and physicians.

Lift Boy Technology

When the patient settles in with the adjustable footrest and armrests, they are ready and can relax without moving to accommodate the operator or instrumentation. The user does not need to make any effort either, as the innovative Lift Boy technology takes care of the rest. To compensate for the height difference between the optical instruments on the table, the Lift Boy automatically adjusts the table height to the correct position for each instrument via a foot pedal, keeping the physician’s hands free. Additionally, the physician can use the control panel to bring the phoropter closer to the patient without manually moving it.
