Flexibility with multidimensional movement

Ophthalmic practice frequently involves alternating between instruments with different working heights. Traditional units require constant adjustments, which wastes time and causes occupational strain and back and shoulder injuries for the professional. The motorized rotating table of the Genova Refraction Unit neatly accommodates two instruments and can be rotated, raised, or lowered with the simple press of a button.

Safety

The integrated locking system stops the movement of the chair and table, preventing dangerous accidents. When everything is aligned, physicians can use the control panel to adjust the slit lamp intensity, turn instruments on and off, control the optotype projector, and activate the overhead light.

Fully mobile for efficient examinations

The ergonomic motorized chair of the Genova Refraction Unit can be raised and lowered by the physician through the touch panel, with no effort required from the patient. Additionally, the chair can rotate 90 degrees to facilitate entry and exit, and can be manually reclined to a horizontal position for procedures such as the administration of ophthalmic drops. Regardless of the chair’s position, the patient remains comfortable thanks to the integrated footrest and armrests.

Wheelchair Accessibility

For patients in a wheelchair or with mobility issues, the chair can be manually removed. The ophthalmic chair can be moved to the side using its own base plate, in order to make the unit accessible for wheelchair patients.

Footrest and Armrests

The comfort features of the Genova are not just for the doctor; this refraction unit is designed to keep the patient calm and secure throughout their entire visit. Comfortable armrests flank both sides of the ergonomic chair, while the footrest offers patients a convenient place to rest their feet and relax.

Phoropter arm (sold separately)

The phoropter arm is adjustable and can be moved up and down. Once in the correct position, it can be easily locked in place.

Illumination

The adjustable LED lighting system of the Genova allows operators to easily adjust the light intensity through the elegant electronic control panel, designed to be intuitive and easy to use.

Control Panel

The Genova control panel does not only serve to move components. Through the touch panel, the operator can easily activate the optotype projector and turn instruments on or off. Once an instrument is turned on, users can adjust the brightness level of the illumination from the panel. The controls also operate the included overhead light, which helps clinical professionals see what they are doing regardless of ambient lighting.

Drawers

The refraction unit includes drawers for additional storage.
