The sound of air released by the device can sometimes startle patients. The FT-1000 features an air noise level of only 55 dB —as gentle as a whisper— ensuring patients remain comfortable throughout the examination.

Patient notification about measurement timing

Before the measurement begins, the FT-1000 measurement head moves from side to side to alert the patient. This helps eliminate the surprise of a sudden air puff, allowing the patient to remain relaxed throughout the examination.

Touch alignment enables fast measurement

“Please open your eyes wide.” “Please don’t move.” We seek to minimize patient discomfort as much as possible. With the Touch Alignment function of the FT-1000, simply touching the eye displayed on the screen aligns its center with the center of the screen. The Auto Alignment and Auto Shot functions initiate measurement immediately. This is another great benefit for patient care.

A simple touch on the center of the pupil displayed on the screen approximately aligns the eye position with the center of the screen.

Gently press the center of the screen to move the measurement head toward the patient. The Auto Alignment and Auto Shot functions will complete the measurement quickly.

Measurement Delay of Only 15 ms

The FT-1000 minimizes the delay between alignment and measurement to approximately 15 milliseconds. This advancement reduces measurement errors caused by blinking or slight eye movements, preventing the patient from having to repeat examinations. The system is designed to minimize the number of air puffs required, thus improving patient comfort.

Fast Charging

When holding a patient’s eyelid during consecutive measurements, speed is essential. The FT-1000’s fast-charging circuit eliminates downtime between measurements, enabling smooth and continuous operation. This reduces the time patients need to keep their eyes open, yet another innovation focused on patient comfort.

Chin Rest Height Indicator

The chin rest height is displayed on the LCD monitor, allowing adjustment before the patient positions their face. This prevents the patient from having to move their head up and down while pressing against the forehead rest, a thoughtful detail that is especially appreciated by patients wearing makeup.

Wide Measuring Head Travel Range

The FT-1000 features a 45 mm vertical measuring head travel range. This extended range significantly reduces the need to adjust the chinrest and shortens the overall examination time.

Even if the measurement nozzle comes into contact with the patient, the touch sensor activates immediately to stop the measurement head. This feature allows patients to feel more relaxed during examinations.

Digitally Adjustable Limiter for Each Patient

The limiter prevents the measurement head from getting too close to the patient’s eyes. The FT-1000 uses digital control to precisely adjust the optimal limiter position for each individual. Non-contact tonometry involves converting air applanation pressure into intraocular pressure. We believe that maintaining consistent conditions in every measurement is essential for accuracy. The FT-1000 features a dedicated control system that stabilizes air pressure, ensuring consistent measurement results.

Values displayed in “hPa” or “mmHg”

Users can select “mmHg” or “hPa” as the unit for intraocular pressure. Even if clinical standards change in the future, the FT-1000 remains fully compatible.

Comfortable operation and intraocular pressure correction from the touch panel

Eliminating unnecessary measurements, such as erroneous data, can sometimes be tedious. However, the FT-1000 allows you to easily delete this data from the touch panel. Additionally, the FT-1000 features a function to correct intraocular pressure. This can be performed simply by entering the measured central corneal thickness of the examined eye.

SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE

Drop-in direct insertion printer paper is simple

Replacing the printer paper is easy: simply insert a new paper roll and close the cover. No threading or manual paper feeding required.

The mouthpiece is easy to clean

Cleaning the mouthpiece is simple: just wipe it with an alcohol-dampened cloth. In addition, the critical optical components are located 32 mm behind the mouthpiece, making it unlikely that these internal parts will get dirty.
