This retinoscope uses precision filaments of 0.05 mm in diameter to generate one of the sharpest light streaks in the industry and comes equipped with a +2D presbyope corrector. It features separate controls for streak rotation and width that ensure an ultra-sharp streak and effortless operation. The RX can produce three different streak modes: divergent, parallel, and convergent. The RX is designed with comfort in mind, incorporating an anti-reflective filter and a built-in headrest.

The NTZ-RET-RX-RC also comes preloaded with the +2D lens (Presbyopic Lens), but the +3D and +1D lenses are available for purchase as optional accessories. The Presbyopic Lens is very comfortable for patients who have presbyopia. With this lens, patients do not need to wear their glasses when performing retinoscopy.

This streak retinoscope is designed with user comfort as a priority. It features a built-in anti-reflective filter that provides a wider and brighter field of vision, enhancing contrast and reducing potential eye strain. Additionally, the integrated headrest prevents damage to the user’s lenses, allowing them to focus on the patient rather than on their own corrective eyewear.

The portable model NTZ-OPH-BXa-RC uses a combination of 72 focusing lenses; the corrective lenses offer a wide range from -36D to +35D in 1D steps, and the corrective lens wheel provides smooth focus adjustment that facilitates maintaining a sharp fundus image. Furthermore, the direct-reading diopter indicator is back-illuminated by the halogen lighting system and is readable at any illumination level.

The NTZ-OPH-BXa-RC direct ophthalmoscope features state-of-the-art corneal reflex minimization capabilities that facilitate fundus visualization without sacrificing the high brightness provided by the halogen bulb. A polarizing filter is included, which can be inserted into either the illumination or observation axes and rotated to minimize the patient’s corneal response. The aperture dial and filter levers are independent, allowing clinicians to use a 4000K filter or polarizing filter across all five included apertures. The corrective lens wheel allows users to adjust the corrective lens from -36D to +35D in 1D steps, and the direct dioptric readout is backlit and easy to read in low-light conditions.

The optical components of the NTZ-OPH-BXa-RC are fully enclosed within the device head and are protected by the aperture shutter – no cap required.
