The excellent illumination of the IO-a-LED-CAMERA is the secret behind its sharp images. The 3W LED can be adjusted to 19 mm, 50 mm, or 80 mm, and has a color temperature of 3200K.

The color temperature of the LED in the Neitz IO-a-LED-Camera is 3200 K, the same color temperature as the halogen lamp used in the typical binocular indirect ophthalmoscope. The colors observed in ophthalmoscopy are the red of blood vessels, the orange of the retina, and the yellow of the optic disc. This matches the color temperature of industry-standard halogen lamps, but with an incredible lifespan of 50,000 hours and no filament shadow.

Common White Color LED

Unlike the common white LED used in indirect binocular ophthalmoscopes from other manufacturers, our halogen bulb-colored LED reproduces colors with high color rendering properties, as shown in the graph on the left. It allows the operator to obtain maximum information from fundus observation for more accurate diagnosis. It enables fundus examination under the same illumination conditions compatible with traditional halogen bulb lighting.

The IO-a-LED-CAMERA provides 10 hours of continuous illumination, 5 times longer than the competition. UV, blue, and red-free filters are included. The low power consumption of the LED and the high-capacity rechargeable battery allow it to operate 5 times longer than the competition, providing 10 hours of continuous illumination and 5 hours at maximum brightness. This, combined with the device’s impeccable optics, means that clear stereoscopy can be achieved even through a narrow pupil diameter of 2 mm.

This results in an ophthalmoscope that can obtain a clear view through a pupil diameter of only 2 mm. The fundus image can be observed stereoscopically even through a small pupil of 2 mm in diameter. The observation angle can be continuously changed. Smooth single-hand mirror adjustment allows easy observation at any desired angle. The halogen light provides adequate illumination for general observation.

Neitz BIO-IO-A LED

The unique optical system of the IO-a-LED-CAMERA allows users to change the angle of approach to the pupil to a vertical or horizontal position, enabling clinicians to observe the peripheral fundus from any angle. Adjustment of the illumination light mirror and observation mirrors can be performed with a single hand, achieving fast and painless stereoscopy. This flexible device features an adjustable pupillary distance that can be set between 54 mm and 74 mm, making it suitable for most clinicians.

The SC-1 surgical camera included with this ophthalmoscope records video at 30 fps in VGA, HD, and FHD resolutions. A highly sensitive FHD camera system equipped with the latest CMOS image sensor that tracks and records details with precision. Maximum sensitivity allows imaging of eyes with a small pupil diameter. Suitable for observing the fundus in pediatric retinal diseases such as retinopathy of prematurity and active stage classification. Also enables fundus examination of infants in the NICU. Video can be easily transferred and shared using the included Neitz Capture software. Connects to any laptop or desktop computer via USB 2.0 interface. This software provides users with quick access to recording and image capture functions and related settings. This package also includes a carrying case and a secure head strap.
