Luxvision Applanation Tonometer Model R TN-150

The Luxvision TN-150 Applanation Tonometer employs the most precise clinical method for measuring IOP. Accurately measure intraocular pressure with the Luxvision TN-150. Widely recognized as the most common and direct method for evaluating IOP, Goldmann applanation principle tonometers such as the TN-150 provide fast and efficient measurements. This Luxvision ‘R’ type rear-mounted optical body model integrates seamlessly with slit lamp microscopes featuring a suspension arm interface.

Gold standard in clinical tonometry

Uses the Goldmann applanation principle, recognized worldwide as the most accurate and common method for measuring intraocular pressure in clinical practice.

Direct measurement without conversion tables

Provides intraocular pressure readings directly and immediately, eliminating the need to consult conversion tables for greater efficiency.

Independent of scleral rigidity precision

Ensures reliable and accurate measurements without being affected by eye firmness, guaranteeing consistent results across diverse patients.

Calibrable R-mount system

Mountable optical design on a suspension arm compatible with slit lamps, with calibration capability that ensures long-term stability and reliability.

The gold standard

Goldmann applanation tonometry is the most widely used tonometer in clinical practice and remains the “gold standard” for tonometry worldwide. It was developed in the 1950s and is based on the Imbert-Fick law, which states that the pressure inside a sphere filled with liquid and surrounded by an infinitely thin and flexible membrane is measured by the counter-pressure required to flatten said membrane into a plane.

Quality Design

By selecting the TN-150, you can count on accurate readings regardless of scleral rigidity. Pressure measurement can also be calibrated, ensuring reliable measurements and stability over a long period of time. During measurement, the user can observe through the left eyepiece.

When used with a slit lamp, it allows examination of the eyes and measurement of intraocular pressure. It provides a direct reading of intraocular pressure, without the need to consult a conversion table. The measured ocular pressure is not affected by corneal rigidity.
