This Haag-Streit style model with Tower Illumination features a Convergent Galilean Binocular Optical System and a five-position drum magnification selector, providing a wide field of view and sharp, clear images at all times. Design

The HS-5000 5X features a Tower Illumination System in the Haag-Streit style positioned above the observation system, which allows decoupling the illumination column in the vertical meridian.

Microscope

The HS-5000 5X features a convergent Galilean binocular optical system that delivers sharp images and a wide field of view. The operator can select total magnifications equivalent to 6x (Ø38.5 mm), 10x (Ø22.2 mm), 16x (Ø15.2 mm), 25x (Ø10.5 mm) and 40x (Ø6.7 mm).

Magnification Control System

The exclusive Huvitz optical system eliminates image distortion at all magnification levels, enabling more precise diagnoses. The five-position drum magnification selector provides easy access to the 6x to 40x range with the 12.5x eyepiece.

Illumination

The high-luminance halogen lamp or LED lamp provides impressive clarity in this slit lamp with Haag-Streit style Tower Illumination.

Five Filters, Including Yellow

Five filters integrated into the illumination path can be easily inserted using the selection lever. Options include: heat absorption filter for patient comfort during prolonged examinations; red-free filter to enhance structural contrast; cobalt blue filter for fluorescein evaluation; grey filter; and yellow filter to absorb blue light and increase contrast.

Integrated Control

The omnidirectional joystick is easy to operate. An integrated trigger button allows convenient capture of images and videos. When connected to imaging devices, the slit lamp enables simultaneous storage of images and videos.

Ergonomic Illumination Control

The illumination lever is conveniently positioned next to the joystick. The brightness selector can be adjusted to High or Normal, making diagnostic procedures even simpler.
