Huvitz Slit Lamp HS-5000 2X

The HS-5000 2X Slit Lamp Microscope features Haag-Streit tower-style illumination and a Galilean convergent binocular optical system, designed to provide clear, stable, and precise visualization during ocular examination. It includes 2-step drum magnification at 10x and 16x, a wide field of view, 12.5x eyepiece, continuous slit height from 0.3 mm to 14 mm, and continuous slit width from 0 mm to 14 mm. The slit angle is continuously adjustable from 0° to 180°, from vertical to horizontal position, and incorporates continuous slit rotation with a tilt mechanism for enhanced clinical versatility. It also integrates five filters, including a yellow filter, an omnidirectional joystick with trigger, and a durable, high-quality design ideal for professional ophthalmic environments.

Design

The HS-5000 2X features a Haag-Streit-style Tower Illumination System positioned above the observation system, allowing the illumination column to be decoupled along the vertical meridian. This provides greater flexibility by minimizing unwanted reflections during gonioscopy and expanding the peripheral visual field during indirect ophthalmoscopy.

Microscope HS-5000 2X features a Galilean convergent binocular optical system that provides sharp images and a wide field of view. Operators can select between total magnification ratios equivalent to 10x (∅22.3mm) and 16x (∅15.2mm).

Magnification Control System

The exclusive optical design system by Huvitz eliminates image distortion at all magnification levels, enabling more precise diagnosis. The unit’s two-position drum-type magnification changer provides easy access to magnification from 10x to 16x with the 12.5x eyepiece.

Illumination

A high-luminance 12-volt, 30-watt halogen lamp provides incredible clarity in this Haag-Streit tower-style slit lamp.

Five filters, including the yellow filter

Five filters integrated into the illumination path can be easily inserted using the selection lever. Options include a heat absorption filter that contributes to patient comfort during prolonged examinations, a Red-Free filter that enhances structural contrast, a cobalt blue filter for use in fluorescein evaluations, a gray filter, and a yellow filter to absorb blue light and improve contrast.

Integrated Control
