Ezer Ultrasonic Scanner EUS-2600 A/B

Ultrasound has become a standard diagnostic modality in nearly every medical specialty, including Ophthalmology. For this reason, Ezer designed an ophthalmic ultrasound imaging system with outstanding features, making it a sophisticated, easy-to-use, portable, and affordably priced model. The EUS-2600 portable ultrasound scanner was designed with the needs of eye care professionals in mind. It provides a simple solution for ophthalmic diagnosis by combining an A-Scan and a B-Scan on an integrated, user-friendly platform. This product consists of a main unit, application software, a 10MHz A-Scan probe, a 10MHz B-Scan probe, an optional 20MHz B-Scan probe (not included with the unit), a foot pedal, a wireless mouse/keyboard combo, and a power adapter. It also offers biometric measurements using the mouse, keyboard, touchscreen, and foot pedal. Patient records are easily saved, printed, or transferred via USB connection.

Real-time imaging and video for immediate comparison and review

The device captures images across multiple image/video memory slots for fast rendering, enabling immediate one-click review. Images and videos captured during the examination are saved in standard formats such as bmp and avi, making them compatible with all EMR software. The Ezer EUS-2600 features zoom and scan depth adjustment for enhanced observation of ocular structures and diseases. It operates in vitreous enhancement mode to improve vitreous body visibility.

TGC (Time Gain Compensation)

The customized enhanced vitreous mode is used to compensate for tissue attenuation, allowing us to increase or decrease image brightness by adjusting the gain at different depth levels. By increasing the intensity of the signal received at depth, image distortions in B-mode are reduced.

Dist-5

Used to accurately measure axial length (LA) in B+A mode. These are ultrasonic waves that reflect at 5 interfaces: anterior vertex of the cornea, posterior edge of the cornea, anterior edge of the lens, posterior edge of the lens, and retina.

High-Definition 20MHz B-Scan Probe (optional)

The 20MHz B-scan probe offers superior resolution and can be used to better detect details in the posterior pole and orbit.

The 20MHz probe is the ideal complement to the 10MHz probe:
▪ It is compact and easy to use.
▪ Highly reflective structures in the posterior segment of the eye, such as the retina and choroid, the sclera, the optic nerve sheaths, and the extraocular muscle sheaths, are visualized with greater resolution using the 20MHz probe. This allows for higher-quality imaging of chorioretinal lesions, such as melanoma and choroidal nevi.
▪ The 20MHz probe is an excellent tool for ultrasound imaging of orbital fat, differentiating lesions within the orbit, extraocular muscles, and optic nerves.

The EUS-2600 features internal biometry algorithms that enhance precision and reliability, with averaging and standard deviation referenced against up to 10 scans per examination.

The EUS-2600 A-Scan is commonly used to calculate the power of intraocular lens (IOL) implants required in cataract and refractive surgery. It can measure axial length and perform intraocular lens calculations with high precision and safety. All formulas integrated into the EUS-2600 have been proven clinically efficient and have received international recognition.

Automatic Axial Length (AL) Acquisition

Automatic AL (Axial Length) acquisition through biometry, which measures from the anterior surface of the cornea to the retina, the axial length of the eyeball. An important parameter for calculating the dioptric power of the IOL in patients with senile cataract, or for evaluating the development of the eyeball.

Immersion Method

The A-probe acts on the eyes through an acoustic coupling medium; it is not in direct contact with the cornea.

The EUS-2600 provides full reporting capabilities integrating A-scan/IOL results, B-scan images and comments with customized dictionary of symptom entries.
