Examination Principles

In indirect ophthalmoscopy, the fundus is illuminated by light passing through the EDL-78D lens. The return light passes back through the EDL-78D to form a real, inverted image of the fundus between the lens and the examiner.

Advantages of Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscopy (BIO)

The advantages of binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy over direct examination are its excellent stereoscopic field of view and the ability to assess subtle and diffuse color changes in the fundus.

Exceptional Optics

The EDL-78D is manufactured with high-transmittance glass to achieve distortion-free images. The user obtains bright and sharp images across the entire field.

Unique Features

The EDL-78D features a computer-optimized aspheric design that minimizes reflections and delivers high-resolution images. A small-diameter grip ring also contributes to its ease of use.
