Adaptica 2WIN Portable Binocular Refractometer

The Adaptica 2WIN is a binocular mobile refractometer and vision analyzer that performs binocular refraction under real-life vision conditions in order to objectively assess refraction, binocular alignment, opacities, pupillometry, and kappa angle. The 2WIN is extremely fast and will significantly improve office efficiency, as it can perform vision examinations on a large number of patients in a short period of time. The 2WIN can complete a full binocular evaluation in less than 15 seconds.

Complete binocular evaluation in less than 15 seconds

Performs binocular refraction, alignment analysis, opacities assessment, and pupillometry extremely quickly. Significantly improves office efficiency by evaluating multiple patients in a short period of time.

Advanced photo-eccentric refractometry with infrared light

Uses eccentric photo-retinoscopy technology to measure spherical power, cylindrical power, and axis with objective precision. Provides valuable information on corneal abnormalities and ocular media opacities such as cataracts.

Ideal for pediatric and non-cooperative patients

Portable design that operates at one meter distance like a camera, perfect for infants, children, and patients with disabilities. Enables objective evaluations under natural vision conditions without requiring active patient cooperation.

Early detection of phorias, tropias, and amblyopiagenic factors

Diagnoses myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and detects anomalies related to anisometropia, anisocoria, and strabismus. Facilitates early identification of multiple amblyopia risk factors with automatic PDF documentation.

Applications and Benefits of the 2WIN
El 2Win finds diverse applications across various fields, including ophthalmological and optometric consultations, pediatric eye care, orthoptics, pediatric offices, visual screening programs, mobile eye care services, and occupational medicine. Its versatility and portability make it an ideal tool for performing objective assessments and screenings in both clinical settings and remote environments, ensuring efficient and accurate eye examinations across different patient demographics and healthcare scenarios.

Practical applications of the 2Win include rapid vision testing and patient evaluations, refraction and visual analysis for infants (0–3 years of age), vision care for disabled or non-cooperative patients, binocular vision and accommodative balance analysis, early detection and documentation of various amblyopiogenic factors, objective analysis of under-corrections or over-corrections, and objective orthoptic examinations. This device facilitates comprehensive and accurate assessments across diverse patient populations, ensuring efficient diagnosis and treatment planning in both clinical settings and non-traditional healthcare environments.

Eccentric Photo-Retinoscopy
The measurement principle of the 2WIN is eccentric photo-retinoscopy. Infrared (IR) light is projected through the patient’s pupils onto the retina. Depending on the refractive error, the reflected light forms a specific crescent-shaped brightness pattern within the pupil.

The 2WIN measures spherical power, cylindrical power, and axis through the interpretation of the pattern and position of the crescent-shaped light reflex. The 2WIN’s infrared examination also provides valuable information on corneal anomalies, as well as ocular media opacities such as cataracts.

Binocular / Monocular Refraction in a controlled light environment
When used with the Kaleidos module, the 2WIN can be used in a controlled light environment, eliminating distractions while fixing the distance for measurement. In this configuration, the instrument can be used for quick approximation exams under any lighting condition.

Extended Measurement Range
El 2WIN covers an impressive spherical power measurement range of -15D to +15D.

Early Detection of Phorias and Tropias
El 2WIN is capable of diagnosing myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and others. Additionally, it will provide evidence of visual anomalies that may be related to anisometropia, anisocoria, phorias, or strabismus.

Pupil Size Measurement
El 2WIN provides precise and instantaneous measurements of pupil size, pupillary distance, and head tilt.

Gaze Measurement
This package will add the function of collecting data from three measurements and will analyze the corneal reflex. Results will be expressed in prism diopters or degrees.

Fully Automated and Easy to Use
The 2WIN works like a camera and operates at a distance of three feet (1 metro). It only takes 3 seconds to perform a complete patient examination. It then immediately provides a detailed PDF report for printing and sharing.

Detection Report
With the 2Win, the client can complete an objective assessment of visual function under natural vision conditions. It is ideal for infants, children, individuals with disabilities, and non-cooperative patients, due to the compact size of the 2WIN and the reduced examination time.

IR Printer Connection
The 2WIN measurements can be printed and internally stored on a micro-SD card using PDF format, with the capacity to store more than 1,000 results.

WIFI
The 2WIN’s integrated WiFi seamlessly connects to the internet, making it possible to share results and diagnostics via email. The 2WIN also uses its WiFi capability to connect directly to the VisionFit.

Refract patients of all ages
The 2WIN can be used on patients from two months of age up to 120 years old.
